The room that most shows up the differences of between "before and after" is the back den. The before picture is from when the previous owners lived here. The entire room was basic white. The bookshelves were a homemade variety. They were very crude, and the shelves were all at awkward sizes. The after picture shows the stripped and refinished woodwork. The Bookshelves were extended to the ceiling and then covered over with salvaged bead board from a house that was being demolished. A wainscot of this bead board is installed. Walls are painted in Craftsman colors, that coordinate with the Bradbury and Bradbury wallpaper frieze.
